Day 2 - Tuesday 7 June

Needless to say  we woke up at various times during the night as our bodies wondered either what time it was or where we were and we eventually surfaced fully at around 6.30 am when it proved to be a good time to finish whatever necessary unpacking we should do and, importantly, get those device recharging stations set up!

M&M had suggested we have a relaxing day and it was that but it was also a busy day looking at local places of interest.

On the way we had a chance to absorb the local scenery and it was in some ways reminiscent of the sort of images I associate with the American mid-west of wide open spaces and scattered farms.

We arrived at the Windmill Country Market which was a place to eat and also a cross between Cracker Barrel, Bed, Bath and Beyond, a farm shop and Hobby Lobby!

We first of all ordered something to eat which was both thoroughly enjoyable and also very good value with prices in Canadian Dollars (value 63p) that we might expect to pay in some places at home in pounds.

After we had eaten we went walkabout through the store. Mike pointed out as we climbed the stairs that it used to be the house that the owners lived in - and when you looked closely at the various display rooms, you could see exactly that.

This was the kitchen. The giveaway is that you can see the bottom of the fridge/freezer doors just beyond the white cupboard on the right.

Laundry appliances are visible. Almost everything you see is for sale.

Former living area ....
