There are two places that cruise lines don't always go to. One is Glacier Bay as ship numbers in there are rationed to help to preserve it and the Hubbard Glacier - named after the first president of the National Geographical Society - as it's too far north for a ship to get to it and back to such as Seattle or Vancouver in 7 days.
So this was our bonus on this 10-day cruise, the chance to get up close and personal with our first glacier on this trip and it was quite an experience.
